Community Health & Wellness

At YWCA Elgin, we believe that true wellness is more than just physical fitness—it’s about supporting the whole person. Our Community Health and Wellness programs are designed to empower women, girls, and families by promoting healthy, balanced lifestyles in a safe and supportive environment.

We offer integrated movement and stress reduction practices that help address health inequities in our community. These include:

  • High-quality body movement practices to support physical health, strength, and balance

  • Wellness Circles that provide a space for healing, connection, and addressing trauma

  • CPR and First Aid certification to help protect families and strengthen our community’s ability to care for one another

Our programs are offered at no cost to YWCA participants. We also welcome members of the broader community to join us. While there is no required fee, we gratefully accept donations from community participants to help sustain and grow our offerings.

Whether you're looking to move your body, ease stress, or connect with others on a path toward healing, there’s a place for you here.

Join us. Feel better. Be well—together.
