Queen for a Day – Victorian Tea
When: August 10, 2019, 11 am – 1 pm (10 am check-in)
Where: Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road, Elgin, IL 60124
Join us on August 10, 2019, from 11 am – 1 pm (check-in begins at 10 am), at the Elgin Country Club, the YWCA Elgin hosts the annual “Queen for a Day” event. This year’s theme is victorian swan. Queen for a Day is a fancy-schmancy event that brings together mothers, daughters, grandmothers and grand-daughters for a morning full of fun–featuring live music, princesses, the crowning of the Royal Court, a parade of the Queens of the Past, a kids craft, a beauty parlor by Tricoci University, a sing-a-long, Name-That-Tune, a D.I.Y. photobooth, raffles, tea, and a delicious brunch. All proceeds benefit the YWCA Elgin’s educational programs.
Each adult reservation comes with a chance to become the “Queen for the Day” or one of three “Ladies-in-Waiting,” and each child reservation comes with a chance of being crowned the “Princess.” In addition to being crowned, each member of the Royal Court wins an extravagant gift-basket full of prizes, including gift cards and jewelry.
Reservations are $30 for adults ($5 discount for YWCA members) and $15 for children ages 12 and under. Join us for a fun morning of friends, family, and fellowship in support of the YWCA Elgin!
Queen for a Day sponsorship opportunities are available. All sponsors will be recognized in the program, during the event, in the YWCA Elgin newsletter, and on the YWCA Elgin website.
