LEADER LUNCHEON 2023: Now Accepting Nominations
Leader Luncheon is the signature event of the YWCA Elgin, held annually to honor deserving women for their outstanding accomplishments and raise funds to support the YWCA Elgin’s work. Leader Luncheon 2023 will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2023, with keynote speaker Julie Mann.
***New to 2023! The YWCA Elgin will award a female high school Senior with a Youth Leadership Award & Scholarship at Leader Luncheon 2023. For more information about this award and scholarship, click here.
We invite you to nominate individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and achievement in one or more of these categories: Arts, Business & Profession, Communication & Technology, Education, Public Service, Racial Justice, Social Service, and Volunteer & Community Service.
An individual, a business, or an organization may make nominations. Women and non-binary individuals nominated in past years may be re-nominated. No YWCA staff or board member may nominate or be nominated. Posthumous nominations are not allowed. All Leader Luncheon Nominees will be recognized for their contributions to their category at the Leader Luncheon and will receive a certificate of nomination. A panel of independent judges will choose the Award Recipients, and the judges’ selections will be announced at the Leader Luncheon. Click here to download a sample of a Leader Luncheon nomination.
DEADLINE: All nomination forms must be submitted by midnight on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

Leader Luncheon is YWCA Elgin’s primary fundraising event. Funds from the event are used to develop and expand programming and advocacies for women and families’ economic self-sufficiency with a clear commitment to the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women.
